Interests

In addition to my passion in science (especially environmental science and GIS), I also enjoy gardening, reading (currently reading Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed), listening to music and updating wikipedia articles.

I'm a big film buff (my favorite genre is disaster movies), and I also try to catch up with as many great television shows as I can. Director Bong Joon Ho's "Once you overcome the one-inch tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films." is one of my all time favorite quotes that really resonates with me, because I make it my mission to introduce people to amazing non-English entertainment - whether it is music, TV shows or movies - that the Western audience tends to ignore.

In the future, I hope to learn Spanish and Korean, and travel all around the world. The top 5 destinations on my bucket list are: Korea, Japan, Britain, The Netherlands and Mexico.

Fun fact: I consider myself a RuPaul's Drag Race super fan and I've watched every episode of all versions/spin-offs.
